  • Set career highs for yards receiving (207), receptions (10) and receiving touchdowns (4) in the Hoosiers 73-0 victory against Indiana State
  • His first career multi-touchdown game tied the school-record for most receiving scores in a single game with James Hardy
  • His 10-catch effort is the first double-digit catch game since Jaylin Lucas (10) in 2023 versus Louisville

Defensive Player of the Week

Jerry Mixon, Oregon

ILB – Jr. – San Francisco, Calif. – Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep

  • Helped Oregon improve to 3-0 with a 34-14 win at Northwestern to open Big Ten play
  • Second straight game with an interception and the first Duck with an interception in back-to-back games since Khyree Jackson in 2023
  • Returned his interception 36 yards to set up an Oregon touchdown in the third quarter, while also recording a career-high five tackles and adding first TFL of the season

Special Teams Player of the Week

Kaden Wetjen, Iowa

WR – Gr. – Williamsburg, Iowa – Williamsburg

  • Recorded a 95-yard punt return for a touchdown in the third quarter in Iowa’s 47-7 win over UMass
  • The return ties a Big Ten and Iowa record (Michigan State’s Al Brenner at Illinois, 1966 and Iowa’s Bill Happel vs. Minnesota, 1984) and is the longest punt return in Kinnick Stadium history, besting Bob Longley (94 vs. Oregon in 1949)
  • Wetjen finished the with a career-high 216 return yards (182 punt and 34 kickoff) and a career-high 236 all-purpose yards

Freshman of the Week

Bryce Underwood, Michigan

QB – Detroit, Mich. – Belleville

  • Completed 16 of 25 passes for 235 yards with one touchdown and one interception in Michigan’s 63-3 victory against Central Michigan
  • He accounted for 339 yards of total offense and three scores, scoring the first two rushing touchdowns of his career, a 20-yard run in the second quarter and an 18-yard run in the third
  • Posted the best rushing game of his young career, finishing with 114 yards on nine carries – the most by a Michigan quarterback since Devin Gardner ran for 121 yards against Penn State in 2013

  • Led Wisconsin to a 2-0 week including a 3-0 sweep over No. 21 Georgia Tech and a 3-0 win vs. Milwaukee
  • Collected double-digit kills in each match, with a match-high 19 vs. Georgia Tech. Totaled 35 kills with a .582 hitting percentage (33-3-55), averaging 5.83 kills per set and 6.25 points per set
  • Tallied 16 kills with a .600 hitting percentage against Milwaukee
  • Added 1.33 digs per set and .50 blocks per set

Defensive Player of the Week 
Ryan McAleer, Purdue 
So. – L – Overland Park, Kan. 

  • Averaged 4.10 digs per set in Purdue’s 3-0 week with wins over #10 SMU, Houston and Butler
  • Tallied 18 digs vs. SMU, limiting the SMU offense to a season-low .197 hitting percentage
  • Totaled 15 digs in three sets of action at Butler and recorded eight digs vs. Houston
  • Helped Purdue hold opponents to a .163 average attack percentage
  • Also dished out 17 assists across the three matches

Setter of the Week  
Charlie Fuerbringer, Wisconsin 
So. – S – Hermosa Beach, Calif.  

  • Led the Badgers to a 2-0 weekend, including sweeps over No. 21 Georgia Tech and Milwaukee
  • Led the offense to a .457 and .488 hitting clip and a .608 (73-120) set percentage
  • In six sets, Fuerbringer averaged 12.17 assists per set, 4.00 digs per set and added three service aces
  • In each of the two matches, Fuerbringer recorded double-doubles (assists & digs) for her second and third of the season, respectively

Freshman of the Week 
Malayah Long, Michigan State 
S – Lincoln, Neb.  

  • Helped Michigan State to a 3-0 week with wins at Western Michigan, Kennesaw State and vs. Appalachian State
  • Helped the Spartans move to 7-0, the best start to a season since 2012
  • Recorded double-doubles (assists & digs) in all three matches
  • Tallied a career-high 56 assists against Western Michigan, the most in a match for a Spartan since 2018. Also added 14 digs, two service aces and four blocks against the Broncos
  • Registered 41 assists, 10 digs and a career-high six blocks at Kennesaw State
  • Finished the week with 50 assists, three blocks and a career-best 16 digs in win against previously undefeated Appalachian State

MEN’S SOCCER

·         Paired a goal and an assist as the Buckeyes topped Butler 4-0
·         Earns his second Defensive Player of the Week award of the season

WOMEN’S SOCCER

Offensive Player of the Week
Alex Buck, Washington

• Scored the lone goal in Washington’s 1-0 road victory at No. 15 USC
• Posted three shots on the night
• Helped the Huskies to their first win over the Trojans since 2019
• Last Washington Offensive Player of the Week: Ioanna Papatheodorou (Oct. 15, 2024)

Defensive Player of the Week
Kolo Suliafu, Washington
Sr. – D – Ontario, Calif.
• Played the full 90 minutes and led the Husky back line that stifled USC’s offense
• Crucial in holding the Trojans scoreless for just the second time this season and to a season-low six shots
• Victory marked Washington’s first ranked road win since 2019
• Last Washington Defensive Player of the Week: Kolo Suliafu (Sept. 16, 2025)

Co-Goalkeepers of the Week
Sophie Homan, Michigan
Sr. – GK – Rochester, Mich.
• Matched her career-high with six saves to help unranked Michigan shutout No. 22 Ohio State

Freshman of the Week

• Connected on the game-winning goal against the No. 23 Badgers while playing just 21 minutes
